Paper Bag Princess

Who said the recession means giving up your designers!? The September 2009 issue of W magazine shows us what you can actually do with an empty designer bag, You can save the planet and look surprisingly stylish! i think theses photographs look amazing, and definitely shows a different side of the fashion world, although I'll doubt you'll see me wearing an urban outfitters bag as top anytime soon!
The editorial features model Sasha Pivovarova, Photography by Craig McDean and styling by Alex White.

Fringe For Thought!

Right so before i go to bed, I'm thinking of what new hair cut to have its booked for the 5th of December (don't ask why, it just is!) now Ive been thinking of having a full fringe for a while and the more i think about it the more i want it, but im worried as my hair isn't thick enough it will go all gappy like my side fringe does now! plus I'm trying to grow it!
so I'm sitting in my pj's looking at hair styles, when i came across a photo of daisy Lowe, i forgot how beautiful she is, with effortless style and her hair! well all i can is I'm green with envy! ♥

The Birmingham Vintage Fair

The Birmingham Vintage Fair was at the custard factory on Saturday, and trust it to be the week before i get my lovely wages! typical eh!? but i managed to borrow some money off my mom and dad, £15 quid they gave me, that was my budget!
I had been waiting for this all week and kept getting notifications from Facebook asking me to attend, well i couldn't say no could i!? i made sure i was there early so i could have a good look before work!
so it was £1 to get in which wasn't bad i suppose and there was some lovely things at bargain prices, fur coats (fake obviously) which Ive been wanting for ages only £22, i was so sad when i realised i couldn't afford it!
i decided to look around for something more in my price range, i managed to find a lovely vintage blouse for £5! and a Burgundy chunky knit cardigan for £8 very Christmasy if you ask me! although i didn't by much, you've got to admit that for a total of £13 its not bad at all, i took some photos of my new purchases (by the way there not very good LOL)
The vintage fair consisted of 40 stalls (looked like 20 to me) and they were also offering gorgeous cupcakes and tea! the stools had many different items from home made jewelery, shoes, designer clothes, bags, pictures, coats and much much more! I managed to get some photos from the Vintage fairs blog which you can follow http://www.thevintagefair.blogspot.com/ But for any of you who missed out, be sure to make a date in your diary as the vintage fair will be back next year some time in spring! I'm not sure of the exact date but again i will keep you posted of anymore information!

Friday Feeling!

So Friday 20th November i went to see ARCTIC MONKEYS at the NIA Birmingham, i only got my tickets on the Wednesday, from eBay! The band was on top form and made it clear they were back! (with longer hair) I'm totally in love with Alex Turner anyway but seeing him in the flesh made it the best night of my life, i took my friend from college along with me, it was her first ever gig and she was pretty scared as she watched drunken Alex wannabes fall and dance all over the place! But to my surprise though as soon as the arctic monkeys were doing there thang! she was rockin it! you could definetly tell that the worried feeling had gone as she was jumping to the monkey's amazing beats. She shocked me even more that she knew a song that id never even heard of and im there biggest fan ha ha!
Arctic Monkeys delivered overall a great performance! singing songs from their new album and
old, it was truly a night i WON'T forget!

im with the band!

hey alex! yes im looking at you :)

Man, you are beautiful!

Broken Hearted Girl

Luella

Yes, i know I'm sad too, British designer Luella Bartley has stopped trading because of financial difficulties, is this the end of Luella!?! who knows?!? i hope it isn't, she is one of my favourite fashion designers and is truly inspirational! and i hope she makes it through the times of this recession!
